The Etruscans

Etruscan history still weaves its threads in the famous Necropolis of Palazzone, just a few hundred meters from our olive grove. The necropolis consists of 38 tombs carved into the rock, still clearly visible, including the extraordinary Etruscan tomb of the Velimna family. A visit here is a must, as the atmosphere in the seven rooms of the Hypogeum of the Volumni, with their intact funerary urns, takes you back in time: these are the roots of the Umbrian people, but they also belong to the history of all of us!
